At Iberá Experience (iberaexperience.com) we care about your privacy. Here we explain what data we collect, what we use it for, and what your rights are.
Browsing data (Google Analytics and Meta): the sections you visit, your device and browser type, and an approximate location based on your IP address. This is used statistically, to measure how many people use the app and how.
Questions to the Irupé assistant: we store the text of the questions you type in the chat and, if you rate whether the answer helped, that vote, to understand what people are looking for and improve the answers. We ask that you not enter personal data (name, phone, email) in the chat: it is not needed to use it.
Sightings you post on the wall: if you share a sighting, we store and publish the species, the gateway, the date, your comment, the first name you entered and any photo you upload. The place we publish is the gateway, never an exact spot. We review it before publishing. If you want something of yours taken down, write to us and we delete it.
Clicks on contact buttons: we count anonymously how many times "Contact" is tapped for each provider, to learn which services are of most interest. We do not record who makes the click.
Iberá Quiz rounds: we store which species came up, which option was picked in each round and the final score, to find out which questions are too hard and improve the game. It is tied to a random identifier for your device (not your name, your email or your IP), which only serves to avoid counting someone who plays several rounds twice.
Your email, only if you subscribe: some pages offer news from Iberá by email. If you fill in that form we store your address, the date and which page you subscribed from. It is voluntary and you can ask to be removed at any time.
Your itinerary ("My Trip") and preferences: these are built and stored on your device (your browser's local storage). Only when you request a link to share your trip is that plan (the name you gave it, the days and your notes) stored on our server, so whoever receives the link can see it.
Your location: the map's location button uses it, with the permission your browser asks you for, only to centre the map at that moment. It is never sent to or stored on any server of ours. The app does not access your camera, your microphone or your contacts.
What we use it for
To measure our audience, improve the app and its content, understand what visitors are looking for and, if you subscribed, send you news. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We work with providers that supply services to us and that process the data under their own policies:
Google (Google Analytics), United States.
Meta (measurement pixel), United States.
Cloudflare (app hosting and storage of the questions, the counts, the subscriptions and the shared trips).
How long we keep it
Questions to Irupé, the click counts, the quiz rounds and the shared trips are kept for up to 1 year. Subscription emails are kept until you ask to be removed. Google Analytics and Meta data are kept according to each platform's retention periods.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, update or delete your data, and to unsubscribe from the news, by writing to [email protected]. In Argentina, the supervisory authority is the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP), under Law 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data, with which you may also file a complaint.
Minors
The app is for general use, is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child in your care left us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the bottom.
