Mercedes

The provincial capital of Iberá tourism. A must-pass city on Route 40, 120 km from Carlos Pellegrini and 67 km from Portal Río Corriente.

A city in the Department of Mercedes, in the heart of the province of Corrientes. The main departure point toward the Esteros del Iberá: 120 km from Carlos Pellegrini (Portal Laguna Iberá) via RP 40 and 67 km from Portal Río Corriente via RN 123.

Mercedes has a hotel, a variety of lodging, local cuisine, gas stations and everything you need to stock up before entering the Iberá.

Mercedes is not a portal of the park: it is one of the towns you set out from to reach them. The portals, with their wildlife and access roads, are in the portal guide.
