The essentials before you travel
🎟️ Park entry ticket
The entry ticket to the Iberá Provincial Park at Portal Laguna Iberá (Carlos Pellegrini) has tiered rates, in effect since July 1, 2026: foreign visitors $45,000 ARS (adults) or $35,000 ARS (under 17), Argentine visitors $23,000 ARS (adults), $14,000 ARS (under 17) or $8,000 ARS (retirees), Corrientes residents $5,000 ARS (adults) or $4,000 ARS (under 17). The ticket is valid for 5 days. It is free for children under 6, people with disabilities (plus one companion), Malvinas War veterans, bus/minibus drivers, and local visitors from Carlos Pellegrini or Mercedes. Each gateway manages its own entry, so it is worth confirming the current rate on arrival.
🚐 Transfers
The gateways to the Iberá are the airports of Corrientes and Posadas. From both airports you can hire private transfers directly to any gateway: you will find the options in our Transfers section. There are also regular buses that make the connection. From Buenos Aires there are direct buses to Mercedes, and from there local services to Carlos Pellegrini.
🎒 What to bring
For the Iberá bring: lightweight clothing in neutral colors, insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat, closed comfortable shoes for the trails, and binoculars if you have them. In winter add a layer for the mornings. In summer, repellent is essential at dusk and during the night.

Gateway by gateway
Every gateway into the Great Iberá Park is different: some have a shop and drinking water, others require you to bring everything. The notices in amber are the ones to sort out BEFORE you leave.
Portal Río Corriente
Access: From Corrientes capital (180 km): RN 12 + RN 123. From Mercedes (67 km): RN 123. Chavarría is 6 km from the portal.
⚠️ No shop on site. Bring water, food and everything you need. For a full day, it's worth having lunch in Chavarría (6 km).

Access: High-clearance vehicle recommended. In the rain, 4×4 traction.

Access: Any vehicle can make it. It is the most accessible portal in the Gran Parque Iberá.
