THE EXCURSION: a land outing into Iberá National Park through the northern Cambyretá portal. The entrance gate is 15 km from Ituzaingó, and from there it is another 30 km to the park across private ranchland where wildlife already starts to appear. After signing in at the gate you walk the trails for about 30 minutes, with breakfast or an afternoon snack of local treats, and then continue along the 10 km vehicle trail to spot wildlife. It lasts about 6 hours and covers 100 km, in 4x4 pickups and with the guide throughout. He picks passengers up wherever they are staying.
