Museo Artístico Mario Bofill, in the town of Loreto (San Miguel department), steps away from Portal San Antonio. Opened on December 5, 2020, it traces the trajectory of Mario Bofill, a singer-songwriter born in Loreto in 1948 and a leading figure in chamamé and the music of the Litoral.
The collection brings together awards and distinctions, instruments, vinyl records, sheet music, sculptures and caricatures from over five decades of artistic life, including one of his first guitars mounted on a carved wooden log. More than a museum, it is a gathering place for the chamamé culture of the town.
