A stone sundial from 1730, unique in South America.

In the historic center of La Cruz, a sundial built on March 27, 1730 by the Guaraní under the direction of the Jesuits is preserved. Made of stone and more than five meters tall, it is unique in South America for its form and characteristics.

It bears an inscription in Latin that translates as 'From the rising of the sun to its setting, praised be the name of God'. It is one of the treasures of the Jesuit-Guaraní legacy in Corrientes.
