Panthera onca

The largest cat in the Americas and Critically Endangered in Argentina. Its return to Iberá is the greatest achievement of Argentine rewilding.

Regionally extinct for decades, the jaguar returned to Iberá thanks to Rewilding Argentina. There are still only a few individuals and sightings are not guaranteed, but every safari with expert trackers is a unique experience.

Behaviour

Solitary and crepuscular. Hunts capybaras, caimans and deer. Swims skillfully through the marshes and patrols large territories.
