It lives in the damp mud of the water's edge, where its tiny size and unpredictable jumps make it nearly impossible to follow with your eyes. That little thing bouncing in front of your boots is almost always this frog.
Behaviour
Active day and night at ground level. It hunts minute invertebrates in the mud and short grass of the banks.

All year round, busier in the warm months. Walk slowly along any muddy bank and watch the ground.
