At rest it is brown and discreet, but when it jumps it flashes thighs painted yellow and black, a burst that disorients predators. It seeks the humidity of bathrooms, showers and water tanks, where more than one visitor meets it by surprise.
Behaviour
Nocturnal and a climber. It hunts insects near lights and shelters in any damp corner, natural or human.
How and when to see it
Mild nights all year round. If a frog shows up in the lodge bathroom, it is almost certainly this one: enjoy the moment and let it carry on.
