Its prehensile tail works as a fifth hand: it coils around branches and lets it move through the canopy with absolute calm. The short spines stay half hidden in the long fur, until something bothers it. It eats leaves, shoots and fruit.
Behaviour
Nocturnal and arboreal. It moves slowly through the treetops; by day it is a ball of fur and spines resting in a fork.
How and when to see it
At night with a torch in the forest patches, or by day checking high forks: that still ball that looks like a nest may have a nose.
