The brownish cap and cheeks name it and set it apart from its olive cousins, though the definitive clue is the voice. It lives in marshes and wet tall grass, breeds in central and northern Argentina and shifts north in the non-breeding season.
Behaviour
It keeps low, among rushes and grasses, hunting tiny insects. Like every doradito, it is found by voice rather than by sight.
