It is the local swallow of the marshes: while the barn swallow only visits, this one breeds here, in tree cavities and even fence posts. The white rump, visible as it flies away, is the easiest field mark.
Behaviour
It hunts insects flying low over lagoons and wet grassland. In pairs while breeding, in flocks the rest of the year.
