It breeds in central and southern Argentina and winters in the north. From afar it blends with the other pale monjitas; the black crown with the white forehead settles it at first glance through binoculars.
Behaviour
It hunts in the open from posts, fences and low shrubs, with short flights to the ground, like every monjita.
How and when to see it
Winter visitor: present mainly from June to August, back south before the heat begins.
