It moves through the treetops with a trapeze artist's agility, hanging upside down to check flowers and bark. It weaves a hanging pouch nest, tied to thin branches where no cat or snake can reach. The cinnamon shoulder patch flashes in flight.
Behaviour
In pairs, working the upper level of the forest. It eats insects, nectar and fruit.

All year round in woods and tree stands. Follow its melodious whistle and look up: it is always higher than it seems.
