The largest and most dominant of the tyrant flycatchers of the Iberá. The back is olive-brown with brown wings. The crown is black with a white supercilium and a yellow patch in the center that it shows when excited. The breast and belly are intense yellow. The malar stripe is black. The bill is long, stout and black. It measures 22 to 25 cm. An opportunistic omnivore: it eats insects, small fish, frogs, fruit, eggs and the nestlings of other birds. Its call "bien-te-veo" gives it its Spanish name.
Behaviour
Very aggressive and territorial. It vigorously defends its area against much larger birds, including raptors. It builds a large, globular nest of fibers in conspicuous trees. One of the few birds that can catch fish: it dives into the water from a perch. Very noisy at all times.

Year-round in absolutely every portal. Impossible not to see and hear. One of the most abundant birds in the entire region.
