The dimorphism is so extreme that early naturalists described them as separate species: the black male with white shoulders that flash in flight, the female rufous-cinnamon from head to toe. They travel always together along the forest edges, eating fruit and insects.
Behaviour
In faithful pairs that work shrubs and fruiting trees. It visits fruit feeders at the lodges.
