The most common jay of northeastern Argentina: 34 to 37 cm. The plumage is intense blue on the upperparts, tail and wings. The face, neck and breast are black. The belly and the upper edge of the breast are creamy yellow. The forehead has light-blue and white spots. The tail is long and blue with a creamy-yellow tip. The bill is black and robust. It lives in the gallery forest, the humid Chaco woodland and the wooded areas of the Iberá.
Behaviour
Gregarious and noisy. It lives in groups of 5 to 15 individuals that move through the forest together, always alert and vocalizing. They are known for their "alarm" behavior: when they detect a predator, people or anything unusual, they begin to call insistently, alerting all the animals of the forest. Omnivores: fruit, insects, eggs, small vertebrates.

Year-round in the portals with gallery forest. The noisy groups are impossible to ignore. Portal Galarza, San Antonio and Cambyretá.
